Mourillon

Mourillon adds around 7 km to Oursinado and offers an alternative launch when southerly swell makes launching at Oursinado difficult.

Usually launch from the easternmost cove at Mourillon, past the Yacht Club, and park in front of the sports facilities.

Sheltered by Toulon harbour, the start needs very strong winds to produce bumps. At the launch, they have barely 1.5 km to build and stay small for around 3 km.

Approaching Oursinado, the bumps from Mourillon meet swell wrapping around Cap Sicié, sometimes mixed with backwash from the cliffs. The gliding may not be as good as on Oursinado, but this section lets you extend the run and work on your technique in small bumps and crossed seas.
