How are these statistics calculated?
Front-wing flight speeds: only continuous GPS sections at 15 km/h or above (pace at or below 4 min/km), lasting at least 30 seconds, are retained. Slower sections and shorter takeoffs are excluded. Mean, Q1 (25%) and Q3 (75%) are weighted by flight time across the selected sessions. GPS equipment portions are attributed to their own front wing and transitions are excluded. Without portions, sessions using multiple front wings are excluded, as are manual sessions. Speed is a flight estimate; turns remaining above the threshold are retained.
P25 is Q1, P50 is the median and P75 is Q3. All percentiles are weighted by flight time. The shared personal scale runs from the lowest P10 to the highest P90 of the visible front wings; blue to red indicates increasing speed. A constant speed is shown with a small scale margin. Mean speed and percentiles are shown as pace in min/km with speed in km/h below. Time in flight includes only retained sustained flights.
How are these statistics calculated?
GPS portions use the distance and time of their own trace intervals, excluding transitions. Records stay within a continuous equipment portion. Without portions, multiple-equipment distances are distributed in proportion to the usage times entered by the user.
